Spray Polyurea Construction For Sports Stands
2015 Tianjin coastal sports grandstand waterproof project uses seamless spray polyurea coating, anti-salt fog & temperature fluctuation, solves stadium leakage and long-term weather aging problems.
Project Basic Info
Location: Tianjin, ChinaCompleted: 2015Main Product: Full spray polyurea waterproof protective coating system
Project Background
Tianjin belongs to northern coastal city climate, featuring four distinct seasons, large winter-summer temperature difference, coastal salt fog erosion and heavy summer rainfall. Traditional waterproof rolls and asphalt coatings on outdoor sports grandstands easily crack, blister and leak after years of exposure, causing concrete corrosion and frequent annual maintenance costs.The local sports venue required a durable, seamless waterproof solution to fully shield concrete grandstands from rain, temperature fluctuation and salt fog damage.
Polyurea Coating Solution Highlights
We deployed integrated spray polyurea coating for the venue’s sports stands, perfectly matching northern coastal outdoor venue demands:
1: 100% seamless integral film, no splicing gaps to eliminate hidden leakage points;
2: Outstanding temperature stability, withstands drastic seasonal temperature changes without cracking;
3: Good salt fog & water resistance, anti-corrosion against coastal humid and saline air;
4: High elasticity with strong crack-bridging performance, compatible with slight concrete structural deformation;
5: Long-term weather resistance, extending the grandstand waterproof service life and slashing regular repair expenses.
Project Outcomes
Since the 2015 construction completion, the polyurea coating layer has maintained stable waterproof and anti-aging performance under Tianjin’s coastal seasonal climate. The venue has achieved low-maintenance operation for its outdoor sports stands.This polyurea waterproof system is widely applicable for coastal city stadiums, outdoor sports stands, sports field concrete structures and public venue roof protection.
