Product Description

725-EP3001A&725-EP3001B is a two-component high-performance epoxy resin system developed for hand lay-up manufacturing of wind turbine blades and fiber reinforced composite components.

The system consists of 725-EP3001A epoxy resin component and 725-EP3001B curing agent, providing excellent processing characteristics and reliable cured performance for composite applications.

With its low viscosity, long operation time, excellent fiber wetting capability, low exothermic peak temperature, and superior mechanical properties, this epoxy resin system enables efficient manual composite fabrication while maintaining consistent laminate quality.

The product is designed to meet the performance requirements of German Classification Society standards for wind turbine blade manufacturing, making it suitable for structural composite components requiring good fatigue resistance and long-term durability.

Product Advantages

Excellent Hand Lay-up Processing Performance

The resin system provides optimized viscosity and good flow characteristics, allowing easy manual application and efficient impregnation of reinforcement fibers.

It is suitable for composite manufacturing processes requiring accurate resin distribution and smooth laminate formation.

Low Viscosity and Excellent Fiber Wettability

The mixed viscosity is only 300-600 cP at 25℃, allowing the resin to penetrate fiber reinforcement effectively and improve composite quality.

Long Working Time

With a pot life of ≥2 hours at 25℃, the system provides sufficient operation time for manual lay-up production of large composite components.

Controlled Exothermic Reaction

The maximum exothermic peak temperature is controlled at ≤100℃, reducing thermal stress during curing and improving production safety.

High Mechanical and Fatigue Performance

After curing, the resin provides:

  • High tensile strength
  • Excellent flexural strength
  • High modulus
  • Good fatigue resistance
  • Low water absorption

making it suitable for long-term outdoor composite applications.

Processing Guidelines

Mixing Ratio

Recommended ratio:

725-EP3001A : 725-EP3001B = 100 : 34 ±2 (by weight)

Mixing Method

To achieve optimal performance:

  1. Accurately weigh epoxy resin and curing agent.
  2. Mix thoroughly for at least 2 minutes.
  3. Ensure complete mixing of material from container walls and bottom.
  4. For mechanical mixing equipment, regularly monitor the mixing ratio.

Recommended Processing Conditions

Recommended working temperature:

20℃-30℃

Recommended humidity:

Below 70%

Recommended curing temperature:

50℃-80℃

The curing process can be adjusted according to:

  • Component size
  • Temperature conditions
  • Production requirements
  • Heating schedule
