Project Background

Hydropower station sluice gates operate in extremely harsh water environments, enduring long-term water immersion, constant water flow impact, sediment friction and microbial corrosion. Traditional paint systems are prone to peeling, blistering and rust penetration, resulting in frequent maintenance and short service life. To solve these pain points, this project adopted professional polyurea coating technology for comprehensive anti-corrosion protection.

Technical Solution

We applied a high-performance polyurea coating system on the entire surface of the hydropower steel gates. The material forms a seamless, dense and flexible protective layer with outstanding waterproof performance, high mechanical toughness and strong resistance to aquatic corrosion. The coating perfectly adapts to long-term underwater working conditions and continuous water scouring.

Project Highlights & Effect

This polyurea coating application effectively isolated water and corrosive media, completely solving the common corrosion failure problems of hydropower gate steel structures. It significantly improved the durability and operational safety of water conservancy equipment, realizing long-term stable anti-corrosion performance with minimal later maintenance.
