Project Background
Coastal port facilities are exposed to extreme marine corrosive environments all year round, including high-concentration salt fog, seawater splashing, tidal erosion and strong ultraviolet radiation. Jetty steel piles, as the core load-bearing structure of the port pier, are extremely prone to rusting, metal thinning and structural aging. Ordinary anti-corrosion coatings often fail prematurely due to poor salt resistance and weather resistance, resulting in frequent repairs and affecting port operational safety. This project adopted a professional heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating system for heavy-grade anti-corrosion protection of pier steel piles.
Technical Solution
A professional heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating system was fully constructed on the surface of Gwadar Port’s jetty steel piles. The industrial coating forms a dense, high-adhesion and weather-resistant protective film with excellent salt spray resistance, seawater erosion resistance and anti-aging performance. It can effectively isolate marine corrosive media, tightly bond with steel pile substrates, and resist long-term tidal scouring and coastal climate erosion, providing long-term stable heavy anti-corrosion protection for port steel structures.
